Darling Heights

Located near the University of Southern Queensland (USQ), Darling Heights has a mix of
chamferboard and brick and tile houses available. Single-detached dwellings and townhouses are
the most common housing type in the area with an increasing number of units and townhouses
being constructed to accommodate students.

Given its proximity to the USQ, Darling Heights is most popular with singles. There is one
primary school in the area with the hospital located about 10 minutes away.

Residents can choose from a variety of retail outlets in the Central Business District and
suburban shopping centres which offer national food chains and specialty stores. Toowoomba
also has many out-of-the-way coffee houses and restaurants hidden in its streetscapes and
arcades.

Families are also well catered for with a number of private and public schools in the region. For
tertiary education, the University of Southern Queensland accommodates over 20,000 students
locally and caters for over 30,000 overseas students.

Public transport is dominated by buses with local routes supplemented by larger coach
companies taking passengers to other regional centres including Brisbane.

The number of investor buyers – both local and from outside of Toowoomba – has been
increasing, due to affordability issues in other centres and confidence in the local economy.
