Harlaxton is a residential and industrial suburb 4km’s north of the Toowoomba CBD. The suburb
is named after the heritage listed Harlaxton House commissioned in 1870, which is a good
example of Georgian architecture.
There is a local state school and Downlands Secondary College. There are also parks and ovals
for families to enjoy.
House styles vary from examples of colonial architecture and 1950′s chamfer construction to
modern brick and tile dwellings. Harlaxton is very popular with first home buyers – there is more
home for less money than other suburbs.
