Smoke Alarms In Your Property

By Ray White Toowoomba Range
As you may be aware, Queensland legislation regarding Smoke Alarms was passed late last year surrounding the safety of properties, this includes the updated required placement for residential property.
We have 5 years to roll out the requirements for smoke alarms to be installed not only in their current positions, but also into each bedroom of the property as well as the fact they need to be inter-connected. With this in mind, we have been in discussion with our local compliance operators who are looking to initiate quotes for compliance in the shorter term, with a view to full changeover/compliance well within the required time frame. As a smoke alarm has a life span of only 10 years, unless it is required for immediate replacement, they will more than likely be done closer to mid 2021.
